Pressure Cooked Pork Chops

Pressure Cooked!!!  Delicious and done in minutes!!

Prep Time: 10 min.
Total Time: 25 min.
Servings: 6-8

Ingredients

8 center-cut pork chops  (I used 3 and maybe half an onion)
1 cup water
1 small onions
4 -6 medium diced potatoes
3 tablespoons steak sauce or 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup butter
pepper
salt
carrots

Directions

1. Brown pork chops in pressure cooker on both sides (use tongs easier) in 1/2 of the butter then salt and pepper well. (NOTE - Do NOT cover pan yet).
2. Have your potatoes and carrots already peeled and chunked into healthy meaty portions.
3. Have your onion diced into small pieces.
4. Take out pork chops with tongs and set aside for a moment while you add the onions and rest of butter to pork fat. then add potatoes and carrots (if using) then pork chops add the cup of water and the steak sauce ( the recipe called originally for Worcestershire sauce but I liked the steak sauce better) Put lid on and lock bring to high pressure once pressure is established put timer on for 15 minutes, Then use the regular release method and it is unbelievable a great dinner with so much taste in less than 30 minute (including prep if your good with a Knife)

Rigatoni

Another Pressure cooked meal!  Done in minutes! YUM!!!  The quinoa gave it a little different taste, I might not have washed it enough?!  Still good none the less.

Ingredients:
2 Italian sausages
1/2 c. red quinoa or 1 cup cooked kamut
1 28 oz can tomatoes
2 cups water
2 large chopped roasted red peppers (I use bottled)
2 T. pizza seasoning
1/4 c. olive oil
1 lb. rigatoni
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Cook sausages in pressure cooker and break up. Add tomatoes, peppers, seasoning, grain and olive oil and water. Add pasta, cover and pressure for 6 minutes. Open a drizzle a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Serve with parmesan cheese.

Pressure Cooker Steel Cut Oats

I LOVE my new Pressure Cooker!  I can take any natural grain or seed, throw it in with some water and wala instant breakfast!!  I forgot to de-thaw the berries for the picture.  Usually we put them on frozen and stir them in and they de-frost perfectly!

Directions:

  • 1/2 cup Steel Cut Oats
  • 2 cups water
  • Dash of salt
Instructions:
  • Combine ingredients in pressure cooker pot
  • Select high pressure and set 10  minutes cook time. (A quick release is not recommended with grains.)
  • Top with milk, fresh or dried fruit, chopped nuts or granola, and your favorite sweetener – brown or white sugar, maple syrup, or agave syrup. This time I chose dried blueberries, strawberries, granola and brown sugar.
